Francis Randy Prosper is in 1970 in Wesley, Dominica. In 1983, he moved to the US Virgin Islands with his family in search of a better life. Always keen on cooking, he has helped his mother cook since he was a child. According to him, when you enjoy eating and cooking, the profession that suits you best is that of a cook. That’s why, at the age of 15, he made his first steps in this field at El Papa Giyo as a diver. Then, he is hired as a cook preparer for a year in an Italian restaurant, Tonny Romano’s. In this establishment, he has the opportunity to be trained on the job and become a pastry chef, then to be promoted chef de partie after two years.
Five years later, he decides to leave the culinary sector to explore other possibilities and new horizons. However, he will gradually return to his first love.
In 2005, he launched his own restaurant, “Randy’s Restaurant” in the beautiful village of Wesley, in the Commonwealth of Dominica, where he put into practice the two things that matter most to him: caring for people and cooking.
