Organizer : UMIH 972

The result of the grouping of several employers’ organizations, the UMIH represents, defends and promotes independent professionals in the hotel, restaurant, bar, cafe, brewery, nightlife and seasonal professions, across all sectors of the economy, regions and departments of France.

Federating 72 percent of independent unionized companies, the UMIH 972 is the first employers ‘union in the CHRD sector (cafés – hotels – restaurants – nightclubs) and one of the largest French employers’ unions. The UMIH 972 is present and active in all French departments, in mainland France and overseas, with over 2000 elected officials and 400 employees who ensure the daily promotion and defense of our professions. In Martinique, the UMIH 972 is chaired by Véronique Bidault des Chaumes.

The UMIH 972 is committed to the future of the profession and young people, while encouraging companies to progress further. Its mission: promote the catering trades and make the sector attractive to Martinique.

Since the beginning of 2017, the UMIH 972 has been working on the establishment of a Creole gastronomic event combining products from our region and AOC rhum from Martinique. The concept has evolved a lot to finally become: Kréol Food & Rum.
