Christian Etchebest is a French chef, from Béarn, owner of several ‘bistronomic’ restaurants in Paris and Rungis under the name ‘La Cantine du Troquet’. He has appeared on several TV shows, such as ‘Bon et à savoir’ and ‘La Plus Belle Région de France’.
In 1998, he opened his restaurant ‘Le Troquet’ in Paris, which was elected ‘bistro of the year’ by the guide Pudlo3. He continued with ‘The Canteen of the Pernety Troquet’ then ‘The Canteen Dupleix Troquet’.
In 2013, Christian Etchebest took charge of the bistronomic restaurant ‘La Cantine de la Cigale’ as a culinary advisor; the establishment is adjacent to the theater ‘La Cigale’ in Paris.
In 2014, he appeared as a juror on the show ‘The most beautiful region of France’ broadcast on M6, alongside journalist and historian Clémentine Portier Kaltenbach and reporter Jean-Bernard Carillet.
In 2015, he joined the jury of MasterChef, on TF1.
