For a week, illustrious chefs, including Martiniquais, will introduce professionals, apprentices and the general public to the art of creating creole and tasty menus using local products.

With the hotel and restaurant sector struggling to recruit, Kréol Food & Rhum meets four main objectives:

  • promote the sector through excellence
  • make young people aware of the existence of many jobs
  • allow Martinican chefs to meet internationally renowned star chefs
  • promote the destination of Martinique

With the 1st edition in October 2018, Kréol Food & Rhum (KFR) will return every year to promote our Creole gastronomy and the AOC rum that we must be proud of.

A voyage through the many tastes offered by our culinary heritage, the discovery of our local products, our traditional know-how but also the highlighting of the creativity of our Chefs, our artisans, our agro processors, of our contractors and young trainees.

The UMIH 972 organizes the 1st edition of “Kréol Food & Rhum” from October 6 to 13, 2018, with the help of the Communication Agency Sable Noir

This festive and popular event, a major tool for promoting the heritage and know-how of our Region, will bring together the excellence of the French and Creole, and therefore Martinique, culinary scene.

The products of our “terroir”, the know-how of our region, the creativity of our Chefs, our craftsmen, our agro-processors, our contractors, our young trainees: that’s all Kréol Food & Rhum!
